摘要
In this paper an attempt is made to analyse an effect of various microbiological environments on texture and microstructure of building materials. For testing purposes mortar made from CEM I Portland cement modified with an admixture of polycarboxylate resin (CMPK) at amount of 3% by cement weight was used. As corrosive environment, pure cultures of fungi of the genera Penicillium and Cladosporium, sulphur and nitrifying bacteria and activated sludge from a sewage treatment plant were used. Also mixed biological environment, namely the fungus contaminated bacteria cultures were used. The results indicated that sulphur bacteria cause structure caulking by corrosion products. The remaining microorganisms, mainly nitrogen fixing bacteria, cause an increase in porosity.
