Field trials with the systemic non-selective herbicide Roundup Ultra in sugar beets

摘要
When in foreseeable time glyphosate tolerant sugar beet varieties are available, the present procedure of weed control in this crop must be changed. In sugar beet populations with commercial varieties Roundup Ultra was applied at different doses and at different development stages of beet. The beets were covered during application of the herbicide. With repeated applications of Roundup Ultra the given weed florae could be controlled, New weed infestations started with delay and developed only very slowly.
