Synthesis and structure of 2D copper(II) coordination polymer with 1,2,4-benzenetricarboxylic acid

摘要
A new coordination polymer [Cu(HBTC)(H2O)(1).(5)].H2O (2) was synthesized by reaction of CuSO4.5H(2)O with a mononuclear complex [Mn(H2BTC)(2)(H2O)(4)].2H(2)O (1) which was obtained by the reaction of MnSO4.H2O with 1,2, 4- benzenetricarboxylic acid (H3BTC). The complexes 1 and 2 were characterized by X-ray crystallography. In complex 1, each Mn(II) atom is coordinated by two H2BTC- units and four water molecules; while in complex 2, each Cu(II) atom is coordinated by three HBTC2- units and two water molecules, one of which acts as a bridge, to generate an infinite 2D network.
