摘要
The reliable data transmission is a prerequisite for remote monitoring system for insulators to keep well balanced during its ope ration. Based on the analysis of the characteristics of three different communication techniques, namely, General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), Short Message Service (SMS) and Satellite Communication, this paper presents a communication scheme for remote online monitoring system for insulators which is of high reliability and high performance-to-price ratio and bears itself with great generality, thus it can be applied to other similar remote monitoring system.
