Phase equilibrium of the DyCl3-CdCl2-H2O and DyCl3-CdCl2-HCl(∼8%)-H2O system at 25 °C and characterization of new compound

摘要
The equilibrium solubilities of the ternary system DyCl3-CdCl2-H2O, the quaternary system DyCl3-CdCl2 -HCl-H2O were determined at 25 degrees C and the corresponding equilibrium diagrams were constructed. The two systems were complex system with formation of a new compound 9CdCl(2).2DyCl(3)(.)29H(2)O. The new compound was congruently soluble in the quaternary, and non-congruently soluble in the ternary system. The new compound has been characterized by XRD, TC-DTG and fluoreseenee spectroscopy. And the XRD pattern was indexed. Results show that the compound belongs to monoclinic system, emits fluorescence, and loses its crystal water by three steps at 50 to 242 degrees C.
