摘要
Paddlewheel-type dimetal complexes are currently recognized as one of the most useful building blocks, because intriguing functional properties such as gas adsorption and catalysis in various reactions can be produced for their assembled complexes with extended structures. Dirhodium(II) (Rh2II,II) tetracarboxy-lates ([Rh2(O2CR)4]) have the paddlewheel-type dinuclear core, of which axial and equatorial sites can be used for the coordination of linker ligands such as pyrazine and 1,4-benznedicaboxylate anion, leading to the formation of coordination polymers (CPs) and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). In this review, the CPs and MOFs are surveyed and described for the cases using the linkers with N-, C- and O-donors and polycarboxylate linkers, respectively. Structures and properties (concerning gas adsorption, catalytic activity, and magnetism, etc.) are explained for the CPs and MOFs, although some related compounds are also included when necessary.
