摘要
Wireless networks allow a more flexible model of communication when compared to traditional network since the user is not limited to a particular physical location. Unlike the normal wireless networks a MANET will not have any fixed communication infrastructure. During an active communication, the end hosts as well as the intermediate nodes are mobile. Hence, routes change frequently. This poses a difficult challenge for routing protocols since rapid reconstruction is crucial. Rather than reconstructing a route after it breaks, we propose a routing protocol; GPS based Predictive Energy Aware Routing Protocol (GPEAR), which uses location information using GPS to predict expiry of routes and reconstruct routes in advance.
