Study of TiC/Fe-Ni metal ceramic composite coated by reactive plasma spray

摘要
A kind of Ti-Fe-Ni-C composite powder for Reactive Spray was prepared using ferrotitanium and asphalt as raw materials. TiC/Fe-Ni composite coatings were synthesized and deposited by Reactive Plasma Spray (RPS). XRD, SEM and EDS were employed to analyze the composition and microstructure of the composite powder and coatings. The results show that the powder is uniform in particle size and without any impurity. The composite coatings are composed of layers in which the round TiC particles are dispersed within a Fe-Ni alloy matrix. The wear resistance of TiC/Fe-Ni coating is seven times higher than that of the Ni60 composite coating.
