Speckle reduction in multiple scale chirp signal using wavelet transform

摘要
Speckle modeling is ideal in SAR signal domain. Traditional techniques of speckle reduction are in SAR image domain where speckle modeling is actually approximation of Gaussian process. In this paper, we exploit the nice property of wavelet domain separation of signal and noise components in multiple scales for chirp signal. A novel denoising scheme based on the norm of difference of coefficient vectors in transform domain is proposed to reduce the effect of speckle before coherent integration in the SAR matched filter.
