摘要
Current leaking due to the conductivity of the gaseous atmosphere and ceramics at high temperature could affect the measurements of oxygen partial pressure considerably when using the electromotive force (EMF) technique. Tests have been done to try to reduce the interactions between the leaking current and the potential of the galvanic cell by using a faraday cage. It was found that by performing the experiments in a faraday cage the galvanic cell can be protected against leaking currents. In addition, by using balanced floating inputs to the electronic instrumentation this effect can be reduced further.
