Thermoluminescence of diamond films induced by beta irradiation

摘要
The thermoluminescent (TL) behaviour of diamond films, synthesized by the combustion flame technique onto Mo substrates, was studied by using beta radiation from a [Sr-90]/[Y-90] source at an absorbed dose rate of 0.04 Gy/s. The beta radiation integrated dose spanned the range from 24 to 96 Gy, by subjecting the diamond films to different exposure periods. The TL signal was integrated from room temperature up to 350 degrees C through a linear heating rate of 10 degrees C/s in a N-2 atmosphere. Typical TL glow curves were obtained for the diamond films in this temperature range, along with the TL glow curve from commercial lithium fluoride TL material utilized as a standard for calibration.
