Antioxidative properties of polymeric sterically hindered phenols based on N-vinylpyrrolidone copolymers

摘要
The antioxidative activity and the activity with respect to a diphenylpicrylhydrazyl radical of water-soluble polymeric derivatives of sterically hindered phenols based on the functional copolymers of N-vinylpyrrolidone were studied. It was shown that the rate of the reaction between the free radicals and the given polymeric derivatives is determined by the type of polymer-phenol bond and the nature of the reaction medium. It was found that the molecular masses of the studied polymers and the content of phenol in these polymers insignificantly affect the rate of the radical reaction.
