摘要
This experience report describes how our team restructured a cultural heritage website as part of our overall goal to become a more welcoming, equitable space for diverse community members. We describe the traditional categories that stakeholders have used in the past, why those categories caused concern, and discuss how restructuring the site's information architecture helped us address some of these concerns and managed to create new concerns. We recommend ways of thoughtfully engaging with the community and making improvements to help the community move towards a more open and accepting future.
