摘要
An experiment was conducted at farmers' fields from 1993-94 to 1995-96 to evaluate the productivity and economic returns of 6 intensive crop sequences under optimum irrigation and other resource availability. Higher maize: (Zea mays L.)-equivalent yield (18.56 tonnes/ha) was recorded from maize-radish (Raphanus sativus L.)-onion (Allium cepa L.) followed by maize-toria (Brassica campestris L. var. toria)-potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) (17.84 tonnes/ha) sequence (Allium cepa L.), whereas the traditional maize-wheat sequence had the lowest total productivity (9.80 tonnes/ha). Land-utilization index, net profit (Rs/ha/day) and benefit: cost ratio also followed similar pattern.
