摘要
Peeling off nanotubes: Chemically modified soft polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) thin films act as "scotch tape" for the separation of semiconducting (s) and metallic (m) single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs). Whereas the amine-functionalized A-scotch tape selectively removed s-SWNTs, the phenyl-functionalized P-scotch tape acted specifically towards m-SWNTs (see picture). The resulting separation process is very gentle, no damage to the SWNTs was observed. Copyright © 2011 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
