摘要
To evaluate the condition of occupational hazards in a smelter, we applied single index to assess 6 different kinds of occupational hazards (including sulfur dioxide, dust, nickel, cobalt, copper and noise) in the 6 workshops which are the Roasting, the melting, the copper melting, the Flash Smelt Furnace, the Secondary material preparation and the compressed air and oxy station workshop respectively, then applied comprehensive index method to evaluate all the hazards in the smelter. The results showed: The evaluation level of the smelter was qualified. The level of the workshops in Roasting, the melting, the copper melting and the Flash Smelt Furnace was qualified. The level of the workshops in Secondary material preparation and the compressed air and oxy station was fundamental qualified. The single index of the Flash Smelt Furnace was not qualified. Some samples of dust, sulfur dioxide and noise in the smelter were unqualified; especially the sulfur dioxide in the Flash Smelt Furnace workshop was badly serious. More effort should be put on controlling these occupational hazards.
