Industry 4.0 is recognized as a new form of Industrialization in which operational manufacturing systems, production proces-ses and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) are interrelated, duly based on the Internet of Things, oriented towards a new business model that is much more technological, with the management of updated information in real time. In this context, the objective of this research focuses on the need to analyze the main implications, certainties and doubts surrounding Industry 4.0 and the working environment. The methodology used was an exploratory study on the influence of Industry 4.0 in the labor field, within a holistic analysis of the main implications, certainties and doubts. The main results focused on the fact that the insertion of Industry 4.0 transformed the business sector, generating important challenges and challenges, aimed at advanced and technified manufacturing, enabling the integration of the value chain; at the labor level, it increased the unemployment of unskilled labor and the generation of new lines of employment, proposing the need for specialized training.
