摘要
Myanmar is a country of both the majority Burmans and the minority ethnic groups. Yet the minority ethnic groups experience discrimination and alienation in their native land because of Burman nationalism. In response to Burman nationalism, I would argue that the minority ethnic groups have a twofold task. First, is the minority ethnic group's postcolonial resistance to Burman nationalism for maintaining ethnic identity. Second, is their vision of struggle for a reconciling co-existence with the Burmans, as their fellow citizens, in the same nation.
