摘要
The review considers new opportunities that are getting available with the development of new optogenetic methods and their advantages. Combination of the optogenetic tools with traditional electrophysiological methods gives a new understanding of wide range of neurophysiological issues. The review contains description of the main challenges in implementation of optogenetic methods in experimental work and a few examples of technical solutions for performing simultaneous optostimulation and recording of neuronal activity.
