Coupled Resonator Induced Transparency Leading to Plasmonic Nanosensing with High Detection Efficiency

摘要
We have proposed a plasmonic nanosensor comprising of metal-dielectric-metal subwavelength waveguide coupled to nanocavities. The nanosensor provides excellent sensitivity and higher Figure of Merit compared to other recently reported cavity based plasmonic waveguide systems. The high sensitivity results from direct coupling between the nanocavities leading to coupled resonator induced transparency which is similar to the electromagnetically induced transparency commonly seen in quantum plasmonic systems.
