摘要
The human being has the ability to think, and in the development of their own thinking they can generate various types of thinking. Two of them are critical thinking and logical thinking. The intention in this discursive elaboration, was to establish a relationship between the thinking styles and leadership styles: the horizontal and vertical one, executed by managers, in their management action. Based on a documentary research, with the reflection on the authors, focused on the comparison of the thinking styles characteristics proposed by Sternberg; linked with the mental self-government theory. It is concluded that educational managers, depending on the thinking style, will promote a leadership style. And of course, it points towards a critical thinking style and a horizontal leadership style.
