摘要
Freshwater fish may have health benefits because they contain many vital nutrients, especially eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), vitamin D, and mineral components. We searched the PubMed database to identify reports published from 2002 to January 2022 evaluating the consumption of freshwater fish and their influence on human health, namely the occurrence of cardiovas-cular diseases, diabetes, and cancer. However, more research should be conducted into the effects of a diet rich in freshwater fish on other medical conditions, as the literature lacks such studies.
