摘要
Modem passenger car design places emphasis on lighter constructions, reduced space occupied by the car equipment, and low operating and maintenance cost. In response to the modem design, the air conditioning industry should supply systems, which not only meet the cooling capacity demand, but are also optimized in terms of size, weight, cost, and power consumption. This brings air conditioning engineering to a higher technological level, which utilizes cost effectiveness optimization. The aim of this paper is to present a computer aided cost effectiveness optimization approach, computer aided functional design principles realizing the approach, and impact of the approach on design control quality assurance procedures such as, development, prototyping, and testing. A tool for the optimization is software, which can calculate a complete system configuration including a specified refrigerant, a compressor, a condenser, the condenser fan, an expansion device, an evaporator, the evaporator blower, suction, discharge, and liquid piping, and the condenser and evaporator air channels.
