The Local Development Agent as an instrument of public policy

This study present a project developed by an NGO which should be used as a public policy tool. The main goal of the project is to develop local development models, which offer a development opportunity for rural communities based on particularities of Romanian society and economy. An important part of the project is the active and responsible participation of local community in the local development processes and is based on partnership between local public administration and local community. The study has three parts: in the first part the theoretical background has been presented, the second part offers a detailed presentation of the model and the implemented project; finally, you can find some conclusions as public policy information that can be useful for similar initiatives in the last chapter.
