摘要
Evaluation of the computer interface is traditionally conducted via objective performance and subjective user evaluations and walk-throughs. Analysis of users' eye movements on a computer display can potentially provide a more objective evaluation approach. Despite a substantial history of eye movement-based evaluation of task and interface performance, there is still a great need for an organized approach to definition of eye movement-based measures. Following a brief review of eye movement-based interface evaluations, both temporally and spatially-based measures are proposed and discussed. These measures are currently being used in laboratory-based investigations of computer interface quality.
