K-ε turbulence modelling of submerged hydraulic jump using boundary-fitted coordinates

摘要
The internal characteristics of the mean flow of submerged hydraulic jump including the mean water surface profile are computed by a two-dimensional k-epsilon turbulence model using a finite volume method. The equations of motion and the transport equations are solved in a transformed rectangular domain using boundary-fitted coordinates. Computation is carried out for different Froude numbers and submergence. The SIMPLE algorithm system is adopted for the computation. Numerical predictions are presented and compared with the numerical and experimental results of Long et al.
