摘要
This paper describes a tool integration approach based oil the Semantic Web technology. In a concurrent engineering environment the integrated engineering tools are loosely integrated by interconnecting the product model entities stored inside the tools to a semantic network. Due to this knowledge-oriented approach the product knowledge stored inside the distributed semantic network helps the engineers to manage the product complexity. The implementation follows a component-oriented Web Services based architecture.
