摘要
Mechanical alloying of elemental powders was used to prepare Zr- and Mg-based multicomponent metallic glasses with extended supercooled liquid region before crystallization. The compositional dependence of glass formation and the thermal stability of the powders are compared with data for melt quenched samples and discussed with respect to the influence of impurities introduced during milling. Results on consolidated samples produced by hot compaction in the supercooled liquid regime are presented and compared with data for cast bulk specimens.
