摘要
The paper presents some important concepts for intelligent educational systems (IES) and proposes a subdivision of IES into functional modules. Each functional module relates to a set of specific requirements for the IES that consider both technological and people-related aspects. Bearing these in mind, we have used our industrial experience to design and develop hardware sensor devices and actuators that communicate through a LoRa-based wireless sensor network (WSN) and a custom communication protocol. These devices are integrated into the IES to get feedback about the learning process and to provide data for future analyses. In addition, we briefly discuss our design and prototype implementation of a laser projection system as a type of augmented reality display. It is capable of displaying graphical or text-based information directly on the student's desk or workbench. Copyright (C) 2021 The Authors.
