摘要
In the paper, the working process of evaporative cooler was analyzed and an experiment rig for heat transfer performance of evaporative cooler was set up. Experimental study was carried out on the heat and mass transfer performance of evaporative cooler. The impact of face velocity and spray quantity in the evaporative cooler on the heat transfer performance of evaporative cooler was discussed. The experimental results showed that: when the spraying density Gamma increased, the heat flux and the total heat transfer coefficient of the evaporative cooler had a tendency to increase first and then decrease. The maximum heat flux and total heat transfer coefficient were achieved as the spraying density reached 0.116 kg/(m.s) under the experimental conditions. The evaporative cooler heat flux and total heat transfer coefficient increased first and then decreased with the increased face velocity U. When the face velocity U=3.70 m/s, the heat flux and total heat transfer coefficient reached the maximum value. Thus, for the evaporative cooler in the experiments, the optimum working parameters of Gamma=0.116 kg/(m.s) and U=3.70 m/s could be obtained under the testing conditions.
