摘要
Reliable warning of adverse chock shields behavior is imperative for safe longwall operations. Subsequently, the productivity will increase. However, conventional method of initiating warning based on cumulative value will lead to false warning. Therefore, the conventional warning methods disturb the productivity and safety of longwall operations. Thus, a reliable warning system is necessary for efficient longwall operations. The authors developed a new warning system in virtual instrumentation environment. The rate of change of parameters will play a vital role in new warning system. The new warning system was successfully implemented in one of the Indian longwall face. This paper describes the development and application of new warning system. It further discusses the impact of new system on productivity and safety of longwall operations.
