摘要
We report an efficient synthesis of tetra- and hexa-substituted carbohydrate-coated compounds, which we have named star-like surfactants, starting from either alpha-methylglucose or myo-inositol as a central core. The synthesis explores a new approach to such multipolar compounds using [3+2] copper (I)-catalyzed cycloadditions to attach the respective building blocks.
