摘要
The "one-off' character of project and cultural differences between Chinese and Westerns are the root of problem on Chinese project management. Project Organizational Culture differs from Enterprise's Organizational Culture, because it hash its unique characteristics. Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism are the soul of Chinese Traditional Culture. Chinese Traditional Culture contains rich management ideas including the harmony between rigidness and flexibility; Amiability is highly valued; making profits with justice and so on. These essences of Chinese Traditional Culture have a profound effect on project management, particularly for the "soft problem" in project management and the "soft module" in PMBOK. These can be seen from Chinese flexible management methodology of "Overcoming firmness by gentleness". Being the shy people for Chinese, informal communication is the main content of communication management. The aim of Chinese people to work is for "cultivating one's moral character, regulating the family, running the local government well, and bringing peace to the entire country", so our human resources management need suite to the Confucianism employment philosophy. In addition, the idea of "Amiability is Highly Valued" gives contract management a good law. And the "benefit from justice" can help project management with moral training. In this article, these contents have been deeply researched and analyzed. All of them have promoted localization and globalization of project management.
