摘要
Geoinformation System (GIS) "Placer Deposits of Russia" is the first design, which combines data on different-kind placer deposits of Russia. It is based on the integrated approach to mineral resources estimation and developing and embraces more than 15 mineral types of placer deposits which are systemized and put on geographical base. These deposits belong to different raw material groups (precious, non-ferrous, ferrous and rare metals, gems, industrial and chemical raw materials). It is taking into account that major Russia placer provinces are polymineral that defines the significance of conjugate analysis of areas and objects with different mineragenic profile. While Data Base (DB) creating the particular accent was put to main economic and potential economic types of placer deposits, which form the potential of placer-mining industry now and are perspective for nearest future. All information on placer objects is divided into several blocks. The separate GIS block consists of data, permits to predict conditions for placers development with consideration for expecting environment changes for nearest decades (e.g., the permafrost degradation). DB; includes as model, so as ordinary objects. As the new data on placer deposits are obtained the base is restocking. In the same time the information on objects that are just in the base is updated and added. DB "Placer Deposits of Russia", created on the base of GIS technology, permits to solve both practical and theoretical aims.
