摘要：
Vinyl p-methylphenyl ether in aqueous acetone at pH 3-4 in the presence of catalytic amounts of copper(II) chloride reacts with arenediazonium chlorides to form arylacetaldehydes. Vinyl p-nitrophenyl ether under the same conditions fails to react with arenediazonium chlorides.
