摘要
Rocks of the Mangalwar and Sandmata Complex of the Bhilwara Supergroup of Archaean age host copper mineralization in the form of chalcopyrite-bornite in Raipur-Mokhampura and Rajaji ka Karera areas of Bhilwara district, Rajasthan. The area forms a part of the dismembered granite-greenstone sequence of the Bhilwara Supergroup. Chalcopyrite and bornite form the dominant copper sulphides along with pyrite, digenite, chalcocite and some accessory Bi-telluride and Bi-Cu sulphide phases. These sulphides occur along the S-2 foliation planes, veins and fractures within the amphibolites and calc-gneiss. Presence of Bi indicates hydrothermal epigenetic nature of the mineralization developed under highly acidic reducing condition and high sulphur fugacity.
