Ferromagnetism in the periodic Anderson model

Within a recently introduced approximation scheme for the periodic Anderson model, one finds ferromagnetic ordering in a large area of the parameter space away from the symmetric point. Whereas in the Kondo regime, the ferromagnetic phase shows signatures of a local moment magnet, close to the intermediate valence regime, a more band-like magnetism is found.
