摘要：

The well-known instrument for the determination of surface roughness and permeability of paper according to Bendtsen method has been re-designed by Buchel-Van der Korput, Veenendaal, Netherlands in order to increase the measuring accuracy by controlling the measuring pressure in the measuring head. Also the measuring range was increased. These modifications are set against physical principles and compared with the present stage of development, backed up by comparing practical laboratory research with selected paper samples on a Bendtsen Tester oi traditional design and the new instrument 113M, version 2.1.
