摘要
This paper reports a study carried out to define QI team performance and measure it with a newly developed instrument, the Quality Improvement Team Survey (QITS). QITS assesses various factors that may potentially influence the outcome of a QI project. An initial pool of over 200 survey items was generated from a comprehensive literature review, a study of 15 QI teams in various hospitals, and face-to-face interviews with 15 individuals members from five QI teams at a large local hospital. After expert review the pool was reduced to 155 items and a survey was designed and administered to 40 QI team members in a hospital to test the psychometric properties of and further refine the survey. The resulting survey has good psychometric properties and can be used to monitor and evaluate QI team performance.
