Photocatalytic degradation of MB on Ag/ZnO compound nanoparticle

摘要
With nano-ZnO as carrier, the Ag/ZnO compound nanoparticle has been prepared by impregnation method. The photocatalytic activities were evaluated with the degradation of methelene blue (MB). The absorbance of MB was examined by UV-Vis. The samples were characterized by XRD and TEM. Factors that influence the photocatalytic activities have also been investigated. The results show that zinc oxide doped Ag has evidently improved the photocatalytic degradation of MB. The Ag/ZnO compound nanoparticle had the best degradation efficiency when the catalyst concentration was 0.8g/L, the content of Ag was 2.7%, pH=12 and the original concentration of MB was 10mg/L.
