摘要：
The future of the Middle East and North Africa will be determined by progress on economic reform, political participation and the emergence of a strong identity rooted in the region's history but open to the rest of the wet-Id. This article presents two vary different tales of the regional "neighborhood" in the year 2010 as a heuristic device to illustrate the possible future outcomes for the region of policy choices made today.
