Coherent terahertz radiation emitted by wide-angle electron beams from laser-wakefield accelerators

摘要
High-power terahertz radiation can be produced through transition radiation when wide-angle electron beams from laser-wakefield accelerator passing through a thin metal foil, or the plasma-vacuum interface. Simulations are performed to characterize the radiation with varying situations, showing that coherent terahertz radiation with 10s mu J to mJ-level energy can be produced.
