摘要
A miniaturized quasi-Yagi antenna is proposed. The structure of the antenna has a simple feeding mechanism consist of microstrip line and transmission line. Half of the driver is printed on the opposite side of the substrate to achieve stable radiation pattern. Double dog-bone driver and slotted ground structure with circular patches is utilized for the antenna miniaturization. Size of the miniaturizied antenna is 0.3 lambda(c) x 0.3 lambda(c). The antenna has achieved vertical bar S-11 vertical bar <= -10 dB between 2.35-2.5 GHz in the simulation, and 2.35-2.7 GHz in the measurement. The antenna shows high gain of 5-5.5 dBi, efficiency of over 90% and end-fire radiation pattern in operating frequency band. The proposed antenna is good candidate for wireless communication and radar systems.
