Effectiveness and safety of carteolol 0.5% eye drops in the treatment of mild ocular hypertension

To assess the ocular hypotensive effect of carteolol 0.5%, a randomized, double-masked placebo-controlled (vehicle), multicenter study of 2 parallel groups was initiated Forty patients with early primary open-angle glaucoma or simple mild ocular hypertension were enrolled.
