A new method for measuring combustion noise

摘要
In this paper acoustic intensity measurements technology is applied to test for measuring combustion noise of internal combustion engine. The computational formulae of combustion noise and mechanical noise of the engine are derived. A new method for measuring combustion noise of the engine is provided. The results of experiment in the paper correspond to the theory of the engine noise. The new method can overcome the shortcomings of Sound Pressure Method and doesn't require silencing noise chamber or semi-silencing noise chamber and has no special requirements for testing circumstance either. The test for measuring combustion noise and mechanical noise of the engine can be done in common laboratory or working site. The method surely has some economic significance and practical value and gives a new technology for research noise of the engine.
