Reaction of [(COD)RhCl](2) (COD=1,5-cyclooctadiene) with 6,6-dimethyl-fulvene and i-C3H7MgBr: Synthesis, isolation and structural characterization of new pi-complexes of rhodium

摘要
This work describes the reaction of [(COD)RhCl](2) (COD = 1,5-Cyclooctadiene) with 6,6-Dimethylfulvene and i-C3H7MgBr. Fractions collected by HPLC-preparative were analysed by mass spectrometry and H-1-NMR, showing the formation of three main groups of complexes: [(Fulvene)Rh(COD)], [(Fulvene)(2)Rh(COD)], and [(Fulvene)(3)Rh(COD)]. The analysis of the isolated complexes has shown that most of them contains ligands formed by fulvene molecules with intermolecular bonds which are novel in the literature.
