Binge drinking on the rise among African-American college students

Contrary to popular beliefs, the percentage of all college students who engage in binge drinking appears to have dropped by 3 percent over the past four years. But according to researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health, the percentage of black college students who are binge drinkers rose by 10 percent. But before we sound an alarm, one must recall that black college students are still less than one half as likely as white students to be binge drinkers.
