摘要
The current research aims to identify: 1-The skills of scientific argumentation of the student-teacher in the College of Education for Pure Sciences / Ibn Al-1 Haytham. 2-The statistically significant differences in the skills of scientific argument according to the gender variable (males, females) of the student-teacher in the College of Education for Pure Sciences / Ibn Al-Haytham. The sample consisted of (150) students from the fourth stage - of the Department of Chemistry / Ibn Al-Haytham, and they were chosen by the simple random method, with (80) males, and (70) females. The researcher built a test for the skills of scientific argument, which consisted of (40) paragraphs distributed over (6) skills. The psychometric properties of the test tool were verified from the apparent and structural validity and stability by the method of internal consistency, using SPSS and Excel 2010. The following results were obtained. 1-The student-teacher possesses the skills of scientific argument to a moderate to good degree, that is, the skills of determining the claim, determining the rejection, counter-argument and the quality of thinking were good, while the skills of determining the type of the statement presented, the use of determinants and the source of confidence in the information were medium. 2-No statistically significant differences were found for the skills of scientific debate based on the gender variables, except for the skill of quality of thinking in favor of females over males.
