摘要：
The paper starts with statement that the final disposal of sludge generated as product at municipal waste water treatment plants is a big problem, not only in Croatia, but all over the world. The origin, properties and relevant quantities of sludge are presented in the paper. Regulatory framework used in Croatia for final disposal of sludge is considered, and possibilities of its reuse are indicated. The selection of the sludge treatment procedure is also described.
