Three crystallographic criteria for the existence of intermolecular hydrogen bonds:: II.: The C-H•••X hydrogen bonds (X = O, N, and Cl)

The geometric criteria for the existence and absence of hydrogen bonding in the C-H ... O, C-H ... N, and C-H CI contacts in organic crystals are examined by using the crystallographic evidence. The crystallographic data collected by Taylor and Kennard [1] are interpreted in a different way. The Jaskolski criteria for the existence of hydrogen bonds are discussed.
